Echino bag

I love this Echino fabric and I used the last of the black to make this bag. The body is covered in PVC and it is lined in black cotton with 2 small internal pockets. The strap has 2 big black buttons sewn over the top at the sides of the bag. It also comes with a matching detachable coin purse which clips onto a ring inside the bag. From the top of the strap to the bag the measurement is 40cm and the body of the bag is approx 34cm wide and 25cm high. This one is $70.00

Toni Spencer, Ali Bird, Sacha Harrang and Carolyne Thornton

Four Pod Collective members, Toni, Ali, Sacha and myself set up a shop for a day at the Boyne Island Shopping Centre last week. What a great day. Sacha's paintings made the walls look so colourful and turned a drab looking room into a bright and happy place. With all our creations inside it looked amazing and we hope to do it again. Thanks to everyone who came along to have a look and buy something local and handmade. Here are a few pics from the day....

It's all in the clasp

These clasps look great if you have your hair tied back. I think they look really great just as a feature on their own.

Wonderland Pillows

These pillows are made with the Moda Wonderland 'Mad Hatter' fabric on the front, and a bright pink cotton on the back with appliqued patches from the front fabric. A pink polka dot ribbon has been added and there is an 18cm zippered closure on the side. These pillows are approx 35cm square and have a small loop carry handle on the side as well. These would be great to take on holidays or for car travel or just to brighten a little girl's room.

One pair of shorts - 3 bags

I couldn't resist these shorts when I saw them at our local Op Shop 'Bindaree' the other day. What a great amount of fabric to be recycled into something else!

Before

After

This is the result, with some Japanese and some vintage fabric, now the shorts can have 3 new lives...

These pendants are made from old wooden dominoes and wooden scrabble tiles covered with Yuzen Paper and resin on one side. These pendants are all on a leather necklace and are $17.95 each. They make a unique and original gift and are very light so great to post.

Recycling for Ecofest

Gladstone Ecofest is coming up on the 31st May and I really excited to be a part of that. I'm having a stall there and everything I sell will be using recycled materials in some form. Here is a sample of a new necklace design made using a beer bottle top.
